Description

At Bury Council we are ambitious as a stock owning authority to deliver safe and secure homes for our residents, fostering vibrant neighbourhoods where tenants are at the heart of our communities. We have reacquired our stock of nearly 8,000 homes, and it is our vision to transform how we work to be a social landlord of choice, creating places where individuals aspire to live. We want housing to be an integral part of our council services, at the heart of supporting residents to lead healthy, fulfilling lives, and be central to our wider ambitions of inclusive growth and regeneration.

This is one of four key roles in our team that are integral to shaping our vision to build a service that is tenant focused, is fit for purpose and ensure that our homes are safe and meet decent homes standards, where we support those that are most in need.

Central to the management of housing assets in the borough will be our Head of Housing Property, taking strategic and operational leadership for maintenance, capital programmes and major works. You will be central to ensuring that our compliance and stock condition data is well managed and accurate to support our investment and maintenance programmes.  As an experienced property and asset manager, you will bring confidence in developing new systems and reporting processes to collate asset intelligence, customer insight, customer feedback, management information and risk data. This is a critical role in ensuring we achieve our ambition, through regulatory compliance and meeting decent homes standards.

This is a unique opportunity to join us at a key point in Bury’s journey, delivering a vision where social housing empowers residents to be part of our borough’s ambitions for the future. We are seeking a values-driven individual who is passionate about our vision, who believes in the power of what we are trying to achieve. Let’s Do It!
