Description

At Bury Council we are transforming our housing services. Our vision is to deliver safe and secure homes for our residents that they can be proud to call home, fostering vibrant and united neighbourhoods where tenants are at the heart of our communities. We see housing as an integral part of our council services, at the heart of supporting residents to lead healthy, fulfilling lives, and central to our wider ambitions of inclusive growth and regeneration.

We are currently building and transforming our inhouse repairs team to ensure it delivers a repairs service that meets the needs of our tenants and ensures our homes are safe, healthy and secure.

Our new Head of Repairs and Maintenance will be central to transforming our in-house delivery, leading a large repairs team across diverse disciplines to deliver a customer focused and commercially minded service. You will lead the transformation of how we work and operate, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and embracing technology-enabled solutions to maximise the use of resources to ensure tenants receive a service they are proud of.

We are seeking someone who inspires teams to bring pride to their work, who has experience of leading teams through change and who has a track record of and commitment to delivering high levels of customer service.

This is a unique opportunity to join us at a key point in Bury’s journey, delivering a vision where social housing empowers residents to be part of our borough’s ambitions for the future. We are seeking a values-driven individual who is passionate about our vision, who believes in the power of what we are trying to achieve. Let’s Do It!
